Solve
x - 2 (x - 1) = 8
Multiply x-1 and x-2 out out ot get x squared - 3x plus 3 (did that in my head so not completely sure), then minus the 8 to get x squared -3x minus 5 (just a guess) equal to 0. Put those numbers into the quadratic formula or another method to get ur answers. Hope that helped.

You need to expand the bracket first ie multiply -2 x (x - 1)

This is wrong as there is no bracket around the first x.
