Do I get extra time for GCSEs?

Helloo.
I am currently a Year 10 student and starting mocks in April.
I think I am an EAL student, I came to England when I was one and both my parents are foreign, and some of my friends have said I may be able to get extra time for GCSE.
I am a top performing student, predicted very high grades, and perfectly fluent in English both written and spoken. There is virtually no difference between me and my peers.

Is it possile for me to get extra time in GCSE (am I even classed as EAL)?
Should I take it if it is possible?
And will universities know if I got any extra time?

To get extra time, I'm pretty sure you have to show a need for it identified by the school. I skim read the JCQ guidelines and it says that you can have 10 percent extra time if you use a bilingual dictionary and you've been living in the uk for less that three years with no prior English ability. So I don't think this applies to you.
