The first derivative of g(x)g(x), ie ddxg(x)\dfrac{d}{dx}g(x)

Oh okay thanks! and one more thing, in this question : https://gyazo.com/4b4a1740f744db920971a7df254f8dbc?token=b4b23b17c2dfe52ad7672933bcb00126 For part i, the answer is just substituting 0 into x of the equation? Cause in the previous example you answered me by doing something like 0 < cos^2x<1 and then changing it how the equation changed.

The basic function to start with here is tan12x\tan \frac{1}{2}x. When we have 0x<π0 \leq x < \pi we have 0tan12x<0 \leq \tan \frac{1}{2}x < \infty.

Hence we have 02tan12x<0 \leq 2\tan \frac{1}{2}x < \infty

etc...

And what would be the approach to sketch that equation? If i know how the normal graph of tanx is?

Also what do they look for sketches? Like how precise they should be

If you work up from tanx\tan x then you need to know your transformations. I.e. tanxtan12x\tan x \mapsto \tan \frac{1}{2}x is a stretch s.f. 2 horizontally, etc...

Sketches don't need to be super precise. You only need the qualitative behavior of the curve and label all the important points like intersections, roots, maxima, minima, etc...
