quick m3 question

Part B: i seem to be missing something very simple

i understand that the vertical will pass through A but how do we use this to find a max value for k?

The C of M must lie above the surface that is in contact with the plane, i.e. above VA.

Have you drawn a diagram with VA horizontal?

i did draw that diagram, where the COM is directly above the point A. My thinking is that if K is maximum then the COM would be directly above the point A. Question is how do i use this information now to find k max?

Similar triangles: VOA and AOG contain the same angle (at V and A respectively).
