Anyone else get h=600/0.5*√t
8.5

What did people get for the rectangle question
Original post by flospooner
Do you mean simultaneous equations?

You just had to see where they crossed on the graph and write those coordinates

i done some working out but no final answer, sphere c was 225% and a or b was 100 or 150 % so i divded it bu no simplfy

yeah I got similar numbers but they were smaller so I initially got 1/2.25 but I scaled it up to 100/225 and simplified it down to 4/9. Other people in my class said it was 1/4 because the small sphere was a quarter of the larger ones but idk tbh. There are a variety of answers, I'm sure you got at least a few Marks for working out.

For the proof one did you do it algebraically or just insert different numbers?!?!?

Which one there were 2 proof questions.
yeh i did that aswell like 2n=even 2n+1=odd
even=2n^2-2n can be factorise 2(n2-1)
odd=(2n+1)^2 -(2n+1) = 4n^2 + 4n + 1 - 2n -1
= 4n^2 +2n
which can be factorise = 2(2n^2+n) or something like that?????????????????

For the first proof question I did a case by case proof - where case 1 was odd and case 2 was even - both ended up being divisible by 2.
For the second proof u had to work out fg(x) and 2gf(x) and then minus one from the other.
yessss

F(x)= x-1/3x I think

what did people get for the inverse functions question?

Anyone else get h=600/0.5*√t

yeh i got that and i think some people simplified to 120/sqrtT

What did everyone get for that algebraic ration question where you had to find the values for X?

Like -1 and 2.5 I think
Yes!

Guys you know the volume of cone and hemisphere question?
I made a mistake by using the diameter instead of the radius . . .
but I did all the working out, do u think I may get like 1 or 2 marks ?
0.4/0.4
60 total
600g
2 packs of butter
-6, -1 for the Vector Q
80 for the estimate Q
1/25 for 5^-2
8.5 for the rectangle
n(n-1) for the prove Q
root 3/81 for the surds question
h = 60/0.5 root(t)
Green = 9, Red = 12 - solved using a prob tree. pretty sure people will lose marks if they just did trial and error
tan/cos/sin Q - 1/2
48 for the volume Q
I got 3 and 8 for a/b, as I'm pretty sure they just want the number in a/b and not including the positive/minus signs
then the coordinates was (3,-8)
(edited 4 years ago)
you'll probs get 3 if everything else was correct due to ecf marks.

Finally yes I put different numbers and I’m not sure if I get the marks

putting numbers into it is showing, not proving
It's two packs as there is 400 grams of butter. Two times by 250 equals 500 which is more than enough. You probably mixed up flower with butter.

ooh okay , thank you man that really made me feel relaxed ...
you know the simultaneous equation, I made silly mistake .. the answer was too easy I just had to find out where they touch each other..
what I did is that I made y the subject inn both equations and then put them equal to each other, and then I worked out the value of x and then put it back into the equation to find y .. that's definitely wrong right ?
I got 125 and 105
Original post by Gcse12345678
For the combination question I got 125 for part A and I guessed for part B. What did you guys get?
