can we use Weierstrass substitution in A2 Maths?

I think itd simplify some of the trig integrals nicely, but i was wondering if we could get full marks using it and would we need to derive it or could we just state t formulae?

I'm sure you can use it if you make the steps clear.

Though given how trivial A-Level trig integrals are compared to the ones Weierstrass subs are usually used for, it's a bit pointless to go through the process when you can speed it up by using the identities instead.
Yes you can use it.
I'm not sure what you mean by derive it, you use it in the same way as any other substitution, unless you mean memorise the results of the transformations, which you can do , but it's a waste of time.
