Slade BA help

Hi, is there anyone who studied at the Slade and knows how significant the art history/academic side of it is?
Currently trying to choose between a joint honours fine art/art history MA in Edinburgh and the Slade BA, and if the history side is minimal then it could help me choose :0
Hi, I'd say it's fairly minimal. The slade puts a lot more emphasis on its studio programme. In years 1 and 2 of BA you will have half a day a week of a history and theory module, in third year it's not taught and just independent research for your dissertation which you schedule your own time for. The history and theory tutors have changed since I was in first and second year so the content is a little different, but modules are fairly specific to certain niche topics as opposed to an overview of history and theory. For example one module option in my second year focused on identity and representation in photography, with an emphasis on medical photography. Hope this helps .
