An elective can be from anyyyy subject! You could do Mongolian! But it all has to fit with your timetable etcccc

End of Freshers' week, I think. Keep in mind that the more popular ones will be full by then (Languages fill up fastest).

No they don't. They're designed so you branch out from your original course.
