Personal Statement - Chemistry

I’m really struggling on my into for my personal statement. I know i have to write about what I like and am interested in but i’m struggling to word it.
There’s no particular element of chemistry that interests me. Maybe Organic Chemistry (Mass and IR spectroscopy in particular) but even then, I struggle with the content so although i like it , I wouldn’t be able to explain why because I’m not the best at it.
I’m also struggling with other sections as I don’t know where or how to do additional reading on the subject. So if anyone could help there that would be great.

Try the book "why chemical reactions happen" by James Keeler, "Elegant Solutions" by Philip Ball also probably worth having a look at.
A good way to look at some of the central ideas in chemistry, I think they'll give you quite a bit to talk about.
