Chi squared goodness of fit test Further Maths urgent question

Will I still get all the marks if I calculate the goodness of fit value on my calculator-> fxcg50? Or am I required to do it by hand.

You will get the marks but you should make clear the stages of your calculation. I usually wrote:

H_0: ..., H_1: ...
The critical value is ...
The chi-squared test statistic is \sum (O - E)^2/E = ... (calculator value)
Comparison with critical value
Conclusion

Copying the expected frequencies from the calculator would also be ok, but if it asked you to show how to determine a value in the table you should include all the details.

If you are worried about making a calculation error, you could write out each term on paper but then just use your calculator value.
