SPSS

So I have a huge problem with SPSS.
I have a SPSS database that I have been working with. It refers to patients who were referred to the palliative care team for various reasons (some for four reasons: pain, fatigue, drowsiness, depression, for example).
In my SPSS, I have 4 columns for each reason, and I created a multiple response variable.
Now I want to relate this variable to others. The issue is that when I request a descriptive analysis to perform a chi-square test, the multiple response variable does not appear, and I cannot relate it to other variables.
The variable appears in the cross-tabulation table (but I can't perform chi-square), but not in other analyses. I wanted to analyze the p-value for each variable association.
Can anybody help me with this?
