Underrated old songs

Where I live, power ballads such as "Honestly" by Harem Scarem, "More Than Words Can Say" by Alias, "You're All I Need" by White Lion, and "No Arms Can Ever Hold You" by Chris Norman have been getting more airplay in radios there than in their countries of origin.

The same thing went for "More to Lose" by Seona Dancing, whose vocalist was the budding Ricky Gervais in a year after the duo parted ways.

Which songs do you think went big in other countries but should've gotten more attention in their own countries as well?
I think I am too young to answer this? I have no idea about any of the songs u said 😰

They came out during the 1980s and the early 1990s.

Harem Scarem didn't really take off here for whatever reason but they did some great stuff. I'm not a huge White Lion fan but basically all my mates are.

I love old Dokken, George Lynch is really some player and Don Dokken had a great set of pipes (not so much any more). Loads of the 80s and 90s rock bands got huge in japan etc but not here, weird thing.

I concur.
I like songs which tell a story with their lyrics, which seems to be more of a thing with old country-style music:
