hey, i am about to take a joint honours degree with Spanish. personally the language is useful to me as my degree leads me down a career path of tourism/working abroad and translation.
you always need to look at your end goal. if you want to work somewhere that a language would benefit you, go for it! also be cautious of what language you choose. for example a degree in Latin is not going to benefit you much at all, but a degree in mandarin/Spanish/french will as they are more spoken!
