I have no idea which University to pick out of Bath, Bristol and Manchester

I have recently received offers for Business management for Bath, Bristol and Manchester.

Predicted three A* in business, psychology and economics.

Following research, I have found that in terms of graduate prospects and the course itself, bath seems to be the best. Manchester seems to be better in terms of the course than Bristol. But Bristol is my favourite city in the UK and I would love to go to university there.

I am a very social person so the night life is a key factor for me when deciding which to go to. I have heard that bath is not very good for night life. I have also heard that you can get the train to Bristol for a night out, but I want to be close to the action rather than having to travel by train all the time.

Bristol, although a prestigious university, does not have as good graduate prospects as bath or Manchester.

Basically I have no idea what to do, so any input would be great.

Look carefully at the detail of the course at each Uni - ie. the range of optional units for all years of each course.
Are there any extras on offer such as study abroad or work placements - these add enormously to your immediate graduate job search.
And look on YouTube for campus tours for each Uni and the 'tourist' films for each city.

Hello,

Congratulations on your offers! I am a final year Business student at the University of Bath, so can hopefully help give some insight into living in Bath.

As you said, Bath's School of Management has fantastic graduate prospects, and I have really enjoyed the course and the variety of choice of modules there are here. It has really allowed me to specialise in areas I am more interested in.

The uni itself has some amazing on-campus facilities, such as a state of the art sports training village, a huge variety of sports teams you can join both competitively and recreationally, and lots of student led societies (https://www.thesubath.com/socs/join/) you can join as a way to make even more friends in first year. As Bath is a campus uni you get the luxury of living on campus in your first year which is so convenient and good fun.

Bath in general is also a great place to live, with lots of things to do. There are so many restaurants and bars, there is mini golf, the cinema, lots of coffee shops and co-working spaces which are more sociable places to work in, as well as lovely parks and famous historical sites. In terms of night life, there is a number of bars and clubs in Bath you can go to- the nice thing about Bath being quite small too is that when you do go out you usually see lots of your course/uni mates which makes the uni really sociable. Despite not being known for its night life, I think nights out in Bath are really good fun- especially when you get a good group of you together or go with societies/sports teams. The student union on campus hosts a cocktail night and clubbing night during the week too, and these always get really busy. You'll definitely never been stuck for something to do in Bath.

I hope this helps and please feel free to ask anymore questions you might have!

Best of luck,
Kayley
