how dickens presents ghost of christmass past

It is an ephemeral spirit that appears to be both old and young at the same time with light streaming from the top of its head. It takes Scrooge to scenes from his own past, showing him visions of his own childhood, of his young adulthood and of happier times.
It is a figure that shifts between looking like a baby and an old person, which could symbolize the multiple people that the spirit has helped before.

A good quote to remember for this would be "rise! and walk with me". this shows the commanding nature of the ghost and how scrooge listens to what it says
