I know this makes the 2 subuits for ribosomes but does it also make proteins? A level biology.

I mean, rRNA makes up the ribosome which is an integral part of protein synthesis, and it is via the ribosome that the polypeptide chain is assembled... therefore technically yes, rRNA is involved in making proteins.
Does it make protein all by itself? No. But neither does mRNA or tRNA.... they all work together collaboratively.
