How do I get A* in A-Level?

I feel like no matter how hard I study, I will be caught lacking by specific trick questions in Biology or the randomness of topics. I'm retaking so I'm scared that if I study everyday and then still flop because of some random small topic in History hidden in a single page. I feel like getting an A is possible, but an A* is due to luck. Is there anyway to secure it?

There's never any way to guarantee a grade, because like you say we don't know what the topics or the questions will be! In my English paper a couple weeks ago there was literally a question on a character who appears in two chapters - you never know, all you can do is secure your own knowledge and make sure you're confident in the content. Plus in the event of questions being really difficult trick questions, it's likely that others will struggle as well which will be reflected in grade boundaries!
