Hey guys, I’m due to start at Nottingham vet school in September and was wondering if there are any chats for people who are going to live on Sutton Bonington Campus? It would be nice to get in touch with future flatmates

Hi do you know anyone that needs accom at Sutton bonnington?
If anyone has any questions about the campus i am a 3rd year vet student and happy to answer questions!
hi, what's it like living at SB do you ever feel left out bc its isolated or is it still easy to join societies and stuff on the main campus. Also what's the gym at SB like ik David Ross is really nice but i haven't heard anything about the one in the SB sports center.

Hi, I've just completed my first year at sb as a vet! Its a bit of a different atmosphere compared to most uni campuses as its pretty much in the country side rather than a city - tbh I think that's an upside. Theres plenty of societies, which easy to join (loads of free taster sessions in freshers and free weeks after): tennis club (pristine courts), football, rugby, squash, badminton, lacrosse, wild swimming - there's pretty much most sports. although its a bit more isolated compared to most, access into Nottingham is pretty easy with the free bus and easier of you have a car. it takes about 30-40 mins on a bus, which isn't as bad as it sounds on a night out - plenty of chance for pres. I have only been to David Ross a couple of times, but from what ive seen and heard it has everything you need. the gym on campus is a lot smaller, but it has a decent sized gym, squash courts and sports hall. lmk if you have any more questions

It can often feel a bit isolated. There isn't much on main campus that im personally interested in. I do know many people who have joined societies on main campus. The only downside is that it rakes about 30 minutes to get there on the bus. I know people who spend loads of time on main campus. There are societies on SB which are good and if there is soemthing you want but dont have you can always set up a society yourself. Ive only been to the sport centre a few times but it seems fairly well equipped. Its often fairly busy

Are there coffee shops and restaurants around that are affordable for students and are there many job opportunities?
