unfortunately not, you have to confirm your place before applying for accommodation, if you don’t mind me asking, what course did you get in to

I got primary education, however it’s a conditional and i’m not sure if i want to move so far away to go to uni
As a US student who has applied to the MA human geography program, should I be concerned that I haven't heard anything? Seems geoscience (which I think is the same department) is sending out acceptances but still no word...except for an email asking me to do a survey for international students.

This is a very fair concern. Going away to uni can be a great chance to spread your wings but it's perfectly understandable to not want to move too far away from home. In case it helps with thinking about this, Aberdeen does have pretty good transport links. If you're from Scotland or the north of England then train is a good way to get here, and if you're from further afield then there's an airport which has flights between here and other UK and Irish cities. There's a bit more info here: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/study/getting-here-1694.php
Know this can be quite a personal decision so all the best in weighing up your factors for moving or not, and if you want any more info just give us a shout!

i’m just wondering about accomodation as I have issues which i believe means i need an en-suite but i wont be able to apply for it until i accept the offer and i feel as though the rooms with en-suites will be gone when i apply for accommodation

Hi, no there's no need to be concerned on not having heard! Applications are getting processed across the board right now and offers will be getting sent out over the next months. We wait until after the UCAS deadline passes to process the bulk of applications, so rest assured that the admissions team will be working towards getting you an answer on your application as soon as they can. Hope this helps!

Ok, I'd say the best thing to do is if you would be requiring en-suite is to make our accommodation team aware. If you email [email protected] then they'll be able to let you know if there are any options for ensuring you get the option you'd be after even without firming your offer at this stage. Accommodation options are somewhat first come first serve but we would certainly try to ensure that someone in need of a specific option was secured that. If you'd feel more comfortable you can also contact [email protected] who would be happy to discuss further with you. Really hope this helps and feel free to give us a message if you want any more pointers.
