International Aspiring Medical Student - Need help narrowing schools

Hi,
I am studying in American Curriculum and will be applying to Med schools for 2024 entry. I currently have 5s in AP Chemistry and AP Calculus BC. I have 4 AP Physics. I am also taking other APs this year and hope to have 2 more 5s.

I gave my UCAT last week and secured 2910 with SJT Band 1.
I have narrowed down to 6 school choices - Manchester, Aberdeen, Leicester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Sheffield. Pls suggest the 4 Med schools that will most likely grant me admission/interviews. If I have missed considering any school - pls let me know

Thank you

Hey!
Sheffield sounds like it would be a good option for you, they give interviews mainly based on UCAT scores, and yours is above the threshold for the last few years. I would check on the other University websites to see if they have published the thresholds for interviews for their UCAT scores, as this will help to narrow down your options. If you have any questions about Sheffield medical school or the application process feel free to message or reply and I will do my best to answer. Good luck with everything!

Hi Malachy,
Thank you for replying. I am really keen on applying to Liverpool. The only question on my mind is the teaching method - is it PBL or CBL / Integrated?

Hi there,

It is great to hear this. So the teaching method is via the CBL model, concepts are introduced at an appropriate level through the , and revisited with increasing levels of complexity as the course progresses.
