Advice plz- Law degree to teaching

Hi, I’m currently in the third year of my law degree and am thinking of doing a pgce year after my law degree and becoming a primary teacher because of how competitive it is to become a solicitor. Do you think this would be a waste of a law degree and As at a level - also do you think the salary is okay and what it is like compared to pharmacy which is something I wish I picked from the start
