Is a career change worth it changing information and communication technology for another field one that provides stability and can easily obtain a job.

Well if they are your options, then yes in your case it is worth it.

Like most things a change can be terrible, successfull or simply a change of environment. What often matters is that it has growth (salary, roles) and that you are suitable skill and passion wise to grow with it.
