Your Application Journey: Kingston University London

1. Apply through UCAS!
The vast majority of UK universities use UCAS (short for the Universities and College Admissions Service) as their main application portal, with every degree course across the UK being designated a unique code to ensure your application is heading to the right university. The UCAS code for courses here at KU is K84 - you can find your specific course code on either our website or our prospectus!

2. Prep Work, and (Hopefully!) Receive Your Offer
Depending on your course, you may have to complete an interview or submit a portfolio before a decision on your application can be made. Try not to worry too much about it - do some research into the course beforehand using our website and information posts here, and just be yourself! If all goes to plan, you should hopefully receive an offer through email at some point in the following weeks.

3. Attend an Offer Holder Day
During February and March, Kingston University hosts offer holder days for any individuals who've received an offer from their chosen course. This is a great opportunity to check out the facilities, take a look around campus and get involved in a course-related activity, as well as a chance to meet your course leaders and future classmates.

4. Accept Offer
Once you've received all your decisions from UCAS, you'll be able to accept and reject any offers you've been made - if you're set on studying at Kingston like I was, however, make sure to choose it as your ‘Firm’ (a.k.a. first) choice.

5. Apply for Student Loan and Accommodation
Once you've accepted your offer here at KU, you'll be able to reserve a room in our halls of residence from April onwards - and if we're your firm choice, we'll make sure you get priority! It's also important to apply for your student loan around this point to ensure it arrives in time for the start of your course in September.

6. Get Your Results
Now for the really scary part - results season! If you're a Home student sitting your qualifications this year, you'll likely receive your BTEC/A-Level results near the end of summer. If you've achieved the minimum entry requirements for your offer to study at Kingston, great! If you haven't, make sure to phone our Clearing hotline and we'll see what we can do.

7. Start Packing
Now you're definitely in, you'll need to start packing - because it's not long until you arrive on campus! Make sure to check back here on TSR for top tips on how to survive Freshers Week from your Kingston Reps. :h:

As always - if you have any questions or need more information, either drop our team a DM or reply down below. Thanks for reading!
