What are good maths unis that offer AAB or below?

Most of my other uni options offer AAA or higher so I just wanna try and find a good uni with lower grades in case I do not get an offer from other unis.

I think york does AAB as long as youre doing m/fm and your As are in those.

Newcastle, it needs AAB but with FM or preferred subjects goes down to ABB.

There are more revamps coming up this year for Newcastle, including options for 2nd year (probably, I'm pushing for it) and actual real analysis in 1st year. Some other revamps may be possible.

Alternatively there is an optional interview that may be given, if the applicant does well even without FM then the offer is reduced by 1 grade.

Sure, and you get posted a golden ticket as well. Its more about getting you up to york to see the city as it obv sells itself.

The usual rankings are

and while its obv subjective, the OP could use it as a starting point and work down through them to see whats required.

Other than a top 1/2 dozen or so most will make you offers if your predicted grades match the entry requirements and often will make you an offer if just below.

Rankings are meaningless and Maths courses are often very different. Some might have a mechanics base and others specialise in Stats.

Do not go just on rankings or reputations as they are meaningless and ont tell you whether you will enjoy the course.

Look into the course. Is it right for you. Would you feel comfortable living there. These are the key issues.

Maths courses offering below AAA include Swansea, Aberystwyth, Cardiff, Reading, Sussex, East Anglia, Liverpool and many others.
