Anglia Ruskin University in Peterbourgh

Hey,
Any thoughts on Anglia Ruskin university in Peterbourgh? I'm really considering of going there.
Hello,

I'm Kelly, a first-year Law student at ARU Peterborough.

I chose ARU Peterborough for its welcoming atmosphere, brand-new facilities, and intimate class sizes, providing a personalized journey of growth with lecturers. The use of the Canvas online platform has made navigating my course content convenient and flexible. The university's convenient location, just a 5-minute walk from the town center, was a major bonus for me. The proximity offers easy access to a variety of amenities and entertainment.

One of my favorite modules has been Contract Law, where our lecturer (a practicing Barrister in a prominent London firm) brings a real-world perspective to the subject. ARU Peterborough provides many student services, including ARU Temps, Money Advice, Employability, and support for Careers, Health and Wellbeing.

Personally, I've found the Student's Union very helpful in helping me make friends and in running my own society.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out!

Best, Kelly

Hi. I am Zainab Hafeez, I just finished my 2nd year of Biomedical Sciences at ARU Peterborough.

The course is really interesting. It is 50% lessons and 50% in the lab. I really enjoy working in the lab as ARUP provides very up to date facilities and all the equipment in the lab is brand new and high quality. The third phase of the university is under construction which is the living lab and it will be open in September 2024. The living lab is much bigger than the one in phase 1, it has different labs for microbiology lab, project room, clean maker room, dirty maker room with exquisite facilities.

You can also visit us on the next open day which is on the 8th June - the labs will be open for you to visit, our course lecturers and students will be there for you to talk to them as well. If you have any other queries, feel free to ask anytime.

Many thanks and best regards, Zainab Hafeez

Hi there,

ARUP does placement years for courses like nursing and midwifery. For biomedical sciences, we do a thing called Live Brief.

A Live Brief is where a company from outside come into the university and we work with them. Over the trimester we do our research and at the end we present our findings to internal and external panel. In Year 1, we worked with Test Labs and in Year 2 we worked with NHS. Other than that, we are 50% in lab so we get a lot of experience in that area as well.

ARUP also offers course based summer internship and ARU Temps where students can find part-time work which will boost the cv and help gain communicational, interpersonal, problem solving etc skills.

Thank you
