Best Places to Hang Out Around Campus

Ever needed a place to hang out with friends?
Or just to sit down to discuss ideas for a group project?
Here are a few of my favourite places to chill around campus!

Townhouse Library
A popular choice for most students to hang out is Townhouse Library. However not many people go up to the Lv5 cafe at Townhouse! Aside from the spectacular 360 views of Kingston, the couches and seating areas offer a more laidback environment to catch up on some reading or spend time with friends!

Knights Park Student Bar
The student bar located at Kingston School of Arts, Knights Park campus is the perfect spot to grab a pint and chill with your friends by the HogsMill River on a sunny day! The bar is often used for student fundraising events (eg. pub quizzes, animation showcases and live drawing) and gives you the opportunity to mingle with students from other courses!

John Glasworthy: Book A Teaching Room
Usually available after teaching hours, the Kingston Uni app allows Kingston students from any course to book a teaching room at the respective campuses and libraries! This is especially helpful if you want to have some private study or chill time with your classmates or group members in the late afternoons or evenings.
All you need to do is go onto the Kingston Uni App > select ‘Book A Room’ > select ‘Book A Teaching Room’ > select Penrhyn Road Campus and the date and time. A list of available rooms in JG should pop up for you to make your booking. :smile:

Other hidden gems around campus are The Cocaunut near our Knights Park campus, Lallapolosa behind Penrhyn Road campus and Mimosa Cafe in the Kingston town centre! :smile:
