A different view on the girl = slag, boy = legend debate
I understand the point people try to make about how a girl who sleeps with loads of men is the same as a guy who sleeps with loads of women.
However, since men are generally accepted to take the role of asking a woman out etc this is clearly not so.
A man asks out a lot of women and they all say yes = he is very successful.
A woman gets asked out by a lot of men (ok could be classed as successful) but then says yes to all of them meaning she has no standards. It is possible that they were all perfectly fine men but statistics say otherwise.
I don't mean to generalise I just want to point out why the generalisation is there and why I partially agree with it.
I mean I'm all for women f***ing as many men as they want lol don't get me wrong. I argue though that any man who says he respects a girl who has slept with a lot of men is lying.
I can feel the negs coming but I just want to bring a different view on things rather than the general consensus from girls on here that it is the same.

You have a valid point. In nature, the female is always the 'choosy' one since her eggs carry a higher value than the males' sperm. Hence, males compete for her and she picks the best one - she shouldn't just have sex with all of them, whereas males are wired differently to maximise the likelihood of them producing an offspring so they will go after as many females as possible.

yes but I am not a lock, so that means nothing.
However I do see where OP is coming from. I don't think the attitude is going to change so if a woman wants to sleep with loads of men then she should learn not to give a **** about what other people think.

you don't get to choose whether you are a lock or a key you are a lock and there is nothing you can do about it
It's not just men that perpetuate the double standard, that's true. But that doesn't reduce how sexist it is. I mean, I'm sure there are plenty of women worldwide who don't think schooling is right for girls, or don't think rape is wrong in marriage - it just goes to show that women can hold even quite extreme sexist opinions against their own gender.
Saying there is some moral difference between men and women when it comes to sex, is just as offensive and blinkered as if you said the same thing about white and black people. TBH, it doesn't bother me that much, because I would think anyone who holds that kind of view isn't really worth the time of the woman they look down upon.
Lock and key? Is that the best you can come up with because those objects somewhat physically resemble a penis and a vagina?
Along those lines I could say a receptor that responds to many different drug types could be quite medically useful, whereas a drug that activates too many receptors will produce side-effects.
Or I could say a plug that can fit into many sockets is really useful, and a socket that fits many plugs is also useful.
Or I could say a hole in a peg box that will allow any peg to fit in, or a peg that will fit into any hole on a peg box will make a pretty crappy children's toy.
Or it's really bad to have a credit card that isn't pin-locked, but it would be totally rubbish if you needed a different pin for every cash point...

I've slept with only one person and I've been with him 4 nearly 5 years, so what you said doesn't apply to everyone.

This might be true, if it was not for the fact that it is based on a completely false premise. This cliched nonsense that "women have all the power" simply doesn't stand up under any scrutiny once you get past your awkward teenage years. The truth is that girls want sex just as much as guys, and have to work just as hard to get it if they're not willing to settle for a knuckle dragging mouth breather.
For both girls and guys, if you have low standards, you can easily sleep with lots of people simply by going out and socialising. If you have higher standards, you need to put a bit more work in.
