No, it was somewhere in the middle of my three hour drive back from uni :p: I'd love to move there though, what an awesome road to live in.

Aaaargh, I hate Windows file sharing. It really says something when both OS X and Linux are better than Windows at handling Windows file sharing. :banghead:

It improved massively between XP and vista. And server sharing was fine even with 03 I thought.
But home networks are more of a challenge than they should be.
Last tried I tried linux sharing was years ago. Samba failed to install at first, then failed to load :sigh:
But that was back when ntfs compatibility was experimental. I assume (hope) it's improved since then.

It's a little hit and miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Windows, unfortunately, is better at running windows VMs over the View client than Linux on identical, so that's what I use most of the time because we are required to use Eclipse for the early Java coursework.

We can use the lab machines for it, but we have access to a VM so we can do lab work in our rooms, meaning I end up using that most of the time.

Next term, though, I'm using Vim.

To be honest I was quite happy with my password systems before and I know I'm not on that database of emails, but how easily it was leaked has shocked me so I'm changing all my passwords to a new more secure system
