Well, translation/interpreting/working in Russia, obviously. Alongside that you could go into Law, Journalism. The world is your oyster.

Languages degrees are pretty versatile, you could well find a job that doesn't even require languages but uses some of the skills you gain from a language degree. The obvious careers are teaching and translating/interpreting (French and Russian is a sought-after combination), but you can also go for a career in the civil service or the government, be it at embassies, MI-6, NGOs, the UN, etc. Russia is a rising business power (along with India and Brazil), and you could also get into banking or business with it. You could also do a graduate law conversion course, as Russian is also sought after in the legal world. You can also think about careers in the media and communication like journalism, publishing, editing, marketing, etc.

There's a wide range of jobs you could end up with by doing Russian, so don't worry about that too much

*KGB. Get your abbreviations right :p:
Well... one friend of mine who studied Russian ended up getting a job monitoring a porn site - she basically had to watch porn half the time, and then the Russian part came in because she had to check none of the girls were underage, and a lot of them had documents in Russian. So you never know, you might embark upon a dazzling career in the porn industry.

Well my friend quite enjoyed it (although she is a bit of a sexual deviant :mmm:). She has since switched jobs though and is now a full-time professional pimp part-time English teacher. Which I believe is also relevant, as a lot of her students speak Russian.

Life is not easy, but like challenges)) I did Russian A levels, for uni my firm is International tourism (insurance- international business). Therefore, i think find a job in tourism industry with language degree is not hard.

For business start up : is is not easy in the UK but it is possible to do it in developing countries=)
