Abu Qatada family say they want to leave "racist" UK...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/terrorism-in-the-uk/9771576/Abu-Qatada-family-say-they-want-to-leave-racist-UK.html

An open letter written by Qatada Qatada, the radical cleric's eldest son and published on an Islamic human rights website, complains that racist pressure groups scream abuse at the family home.

The family want to leave the "small and filthy" £450,000 taxpayer funded home in North London.

But their attempts have been thwarted by the Home Office who will only let them go to Jordan where Qatada is wanted on terrorism offences.

The letter claims the family were thrown out of their Wembley home after their harassed landlord was forced to evict them through the courts and that they were then lumbered with the fees for process....

.......The letter, signed "the Family of Abu Qatada" continued:"We have asked the British government to allow us to leave the UK for a third country; somewhere other than Jordan or the UK.

"However they refused and said they would fight to prevent us from leaving Britain to anywhere except a prison in Jordan. Let no one be under the impression that we want to stay here after having suffered so much."

Urgggh. This whole debacle is completely embarrassing for our country.

this is so far beyond a joke now. the british people are suffering from a collective form of 'battered wife syndrome'. its like they just cannot bring themselves to do anything in their own best interests.

Why are they here again?
Christ, this is humiliating.
The USA might have issues with gun control but they know what to do with terrorists, at least.
They are quite a few racists/racism around in UK.

As much as I despise this man's disgusting radical views, I love how he has humiliated your country.

They wont be missed.
Maybe they can take some of their radical friends with them as well.

450,000 tax payer funded house... Biting the hand that feeds you. Screw it if we can't deport them to Jordan let's just send them where ever the hell they want in a private jet and ensure it has an accident.

Let them go to another country, they don't even want to be here lol
They can't leave to go anywhere they want because those with links to terroist organisations aren't really wanted anywhere else funnily enough:rolleyes:

How such patience and support is being given to a waste of space is beyond me. That money to monitor him on bail (£100,000 a week according to the article) and his mini-mansion get given to him and not used to support those who need it?

Why doesn't the government try stopping this rubbish as a cost cutting measure:rolleyes:
Just send them to Jordan so we can have our tax money back from him paid in catharsis and satisfaction that he didn't get a peaceful life after what he's done and stole from us.
Just send them to whatever country will have them, I don't care if he doesn't stand trial as long as he and his family are gone.

Well then leave. Nobody is going to miss them.
They want out but the only place the government will let them go is to Jordan. Seems like both sides are trying to put the squeeze on each other. It's interesting to watch.
I just hope that next time around the government actually gets the job done in getting him out.
I miss the days when we could just assassinate people we didn't like, or deport them to australia. It would have been so much simpler and more effective than all this legal jargon.
To be fair a 450K house in London is the equivalent to 40-60k in the provinces. Maybe less in the backwaters. In London terms, it ain't no mansion as the press would have you believe.

It depends, if it's an apartment then it will be small yes but a house for almost half a mil should house his family and were they really expecting more considering who he is?

So the actual truth is far from what the media has been stating. The media was telling us how Abu Qatada is doing his best to stop his extradition to Jordan (which is true) but they conveniently forgot to omit the fact that he is trying to leave this country but is prevented from doing so by the UK government. wtf? Just let the man leave if he is that keen.
