c3 - Algebraic Division
4x4-3x3+3x+1/x2-1
I have no idea how to do this. Any Help?

Try and keep terms of the same order in the same columns, where you have -4x^2 write 0x^3 and shift the -4x^2 to the right.

I don't think that's correct. I get the remainder is 3.

x^2-1=(x-1)(x+1), Plug 1 in, you get 3 and plug -1 in and you get 3. This is also what I get when I do long division.

He shouldn't have brought the 1 down when he did. Also, the remainder is 5 not 3... (I wrote down 4x^4-3x^3+3x-1).
