I eventually concluded that there was a mistake in the paper and moved on, it's not exactly unheard of haha. Only a 3-marker though :smile:


Haha yeah thanksfully, I thought you had to find another value using cast, but anyway, hopefully we'll get a method mark as compensation. :biggrin:

it was harder than usual in my opinion, the Cartesian equation from the parametrics was tricky, and on the DE question for part c) I didn't realise it was in thousands so couldn't do it! Question 8 was certainly tricky. Comparing my answers with people on here, so far so good, which is a massive relief because on C4 I never know if I've got things right or not!
I thought it was an average paper not too hard not too easy. The algebra was a bit messy at times though especially on the last one with x=2ln3-1/ln3 lol
K=4 because when you brought the 2cosø (from changing to dø) inside the root it became 4cos^2ø and it was multiplied by 4cos^2ø to give you 16cos^4ø which when rooted gives you 4cos^2ø so k=4
