16 up, 16 down and yup, another hitless inning from Johnny Cuerto. He *should* be done for the night now. 2 hits, 1 run (1 ER), 2 walks, 4 strike outs in 8.0 innings is a fine night's work.

Bottom of the eighth. KC get a single, and then a double. Runners on third and second. No outs, and KC's looking to get the insurance runs.

Considering two of their pitchers have lost parents in this post-season (with one playing yesterday before he heard the news.), the Royals are on a mission. They are doing their teammates proud.

And they get their insurance run! Not that they really need it considering the offensive ineptitude of the Mets and amazing pitching, but a double means that there is now runners on third and second. 5-1 KC. Bottom of the eighth.

And there's the overpowered sacrifice fly! Brings home another runner, and moves the other runner to third base. 6-1 KC, with one out now. This is another big inning from KC.

The third pitcher in the inning finally gets the second out, but there's still that guy on third, and well, the batter is potentially the 9th run.
