is this right?

ok so I got 70 on the coursework. The english language total must be out of 160 marks because 80 (coursework) + 80 (exam) = 160.
So to get a C you only need 40 marks. But obviously doubling it gets 80/160. So I think in the exam to get a C you'd only need 10 marks because you got 70 in your coursework so you only need 10 more to get 80 which is a C. (70 + 10 = 80/160)
But aren't exam marks worth more than coursework marks?

Does the 40 marks equaling a C also apply to your coursework?

no in my coursework (roughly)
A*=72
A=65
B=57
C=50
D=45
I think around 27 marks since, like you mentioned, coursework is worth 40% while the exam's worth 60% (1.5 times more). Either way, I think you should still try to do your best in the exam, not just getting enough marks to pass.
