career options with a politics and philosophy degree

hi,

I am in my second year of A levels and am struggling to decide what to do next. I am very interested in doing politics and philosophy at Cardiff, but have no idea where it will take me. All of the uni websites are so vague in regards to the job opportunities.

so, im asking where can a politics and philosophy degree take you where having no degree at all cant?
and how much help does the university give you on what career path to take with your chosen degree?

thanks in advance

There are countless jobs that require you just to have a degree. Quick Google search on 'jobs requiring a degree' yields:

https://www.oxford-royale.co.uk/articles/careers-any-degree.html (This certainly lists what you might call the 'usual suspects'.)

I am also interested in philosophy and politics and so I was wondering what a levels you did and, as it's been a year since you wrote this, whether or not you decided to go for this course at uni
