How do I get from x to y?

If I treat y1= equation (1)

and I treated y0= equation (2)

If I do (1)-(2)

SURELY THE -Px/Py Cancel each other out???

SO WTF

Calculate the change by subtracting the first equation from the second. That gives:

y1y0=pxpy(x1x0)y_1-y_0=-\frac{p_x}{p_y}(x_1-x_0)

Δy=y1y0,Δx=x1x0\Delta y=y_1-y_0, \Delta x=x_1-x_0

Δy=pxpyΔx\therefore \Delta y=-\frac{p_x}{p_y}\Delta x
