Actually there is. Its for university departments that have consistently earned the 5* rating in research assessments, to differentiate between those with 5* only in the last assessment, and those who have had it previously as well. Hope that makes sense.

But there only have been two research assessments, so does that mean that every university department which has got the 5* rating in both assessments is 6*? It's just that I haven't heard this before... Eg. the Music department at Royal Holloway has received 5* in both assessments, but I haven't heard anything about it being 6*.
