There have been cases though where the colleges have forced the student to go up the year after because they couldn't wait for the re-mark or paperwork or whatever to be done...

Yeah. But RichE wouldn't do that to me would he? Or is he not involved in that at all?

They don't do that for you until you're actually AT Oxford

Its only an internet forum for godsake - besides - oxford won the rowing - what could be more important for you lot? This is just a dumb forum that people type rubbish on, lol - if anything it shows how anti social tabbies are cos they spend most of their days cooked up next to a computer posting 61000 things:eek: - we have a social life for that reason people  - don't be a Tab - be an Oxonian

if you say so Raphael, although i'd doubt it - it rarely does...dies down after a few days, unless it is revived after a week or so

This hasn't really been done though, has it; all the other threads have been very specific.

Or are Oxford types just not as sociable on TSR as the tabs?

Maybe all the Oxford ppl are more sociable and thus spend time socialising with real, rather than virtual people! they're probably all in a pub/bar/club!

EDIT: Just seen Phil23 said something similar....scary to think we share similar thoughts

Us current Oxford students have regularly nattered (sp?) away to ourselves before, usually on the "Official TSR Meet-up thread"! The problem is, it's usually just the same ppl: me, shiny, simon, nick, elles, Binya, Phil, Will...not that there's anything wrong with that...ummm...that reminds me...I want to do more formal-whoring as I've only been to one this term...time to resurect the old thread me thinks... :p:

post alluded to it first though? (post 17)

Yeah I know, but that is rather cliquey..If that's the way you want it, fair enough  But this might bring other people in!

only our M1 have a male cox! & i'd like to think the charming female companions at the head table last saturday night are rather more refined than that.. (outwardly at least! ) so it was all rather well behaved.

& yes, he was pretty pleased Hoofbeat, thanks for asking. went pretty well for your guys too...?

that week was so nerve wracking though! (& dramatic in places - page 31 Cherwell, pretty close friend :frown: ) & i'm sure equally exhausting for me. (ref - v. dubious photo page 5 Ox Stu!)

but for future reference - chocolate chip banana cake is the ideal recovery food. *domestic goddess*

SsEe - "boaties"

How very mean! Why can't Jesus just stop rowing til they get past? I wouldn't bang my oars about causing poor guy to have gashes in his head :frown:
