That was the impression I got that it's more of a southern thing. I've never understood why they pronounce it incorrectly "grarss" but I guess they'd not understand why ppl pronounce it "grass"...

Obviously 'v-ah-z', unless you're one of those chaps from the Thirteen Colonies :yep:.
vahse as in car. My (Irish) grandmother says it like vorse which is quite strange.

Do you guys pronounce the R?

Dunno if it matters but I'm Scottish and pronunce it v-azz (as in jazz).
