Are you proud to go to your University

Where are you applying to?

You're missing the obligatory 'UCAS 2011' section in your signature - if you just followed the rules, we wouldn't have had need for this question.

It isn't all about the ranking/whether or not it's a met. If you enjoy your university experience (academically and socially) then why not be proud?

I'm not at uni until next year, and as I am self-teaching all my A-levels in one year (therefore do not have AS grades to offer), I decided to apply to unis lower down the table. Unis that I would probably have laughed at before. But yeah, I'll probably be happy and proud anyway when I get to university.

And I'm not sure what the other two will be yet, but somewhere in London (for at least one but more likely both). To think, my teachers once said I was two years ahead of where I should have been, and now I'm failing exams and applying to unis outside of the top ten. Epic fail much? Guess that's what my mum gets for moving us out of London.

Yeahhhh I get what you mean. But it's hard to be proud or think positive when morons on this site keep putting us that go to lower uni's down. You know the usual comments, employer won't want you, your uni is easier, blah blah blah.

You should be proud though. Self taught a-levels

Gifted children left to wither never turn out well (not that it's bad, just not what people might have once predicted. I just dug a hole, didn't I..? ) - one of the biggest grudges I hold against all of my schools (even the hallucination and deafness one )

And no, not in a particularly nice area. Unless you consider a three bedroom council house in south London "nice". But it's my home and I will always have an attachment to it.

I'm not proud to go to Kent. I have been amazed at the lack of intelligent conversation compared to that of Royal Holloway. I'm proud to be an (ex-)RHULian.

I've just had some very bad experiences here and I think that a whole load of people are given places (through clearing, mainly) who really shouldn't even be in university.
