# Edexcel Further Maths A* Grade Watch

1. Okay... can someone please tell me how to achieve an A* in further maths (edexcel board).

My AS results are below:

Decision 1 - 78/100
Decision 2 - 90/100
Further Pure 1 - 96/100

I'll be taking the following this year:

Mechanics 2
Further Pure 2
Further Pure 3

What respective UMS marks will I need to achieve for an A*, and how does the system work, exactly?

You need at least 480 UMS minimum from the 6 units combined
that must include at least 270 UMS from any 3 of D2, M2, FP2 or FP3

your best 3 A2 units are used to award the A* grade
3. I have decided to do edexcel AS further maths this year. I have an A* in CIE Mathematics. Will i be able to manage AS further maths? Also, which modules are easiest and where do i get the study material from since my school does not offer it and there are not many people who teach it in my country.
