What is the difference between MMath and an MSci?

Is one 'better' than the other, are they separate but equal, or are they just different names for the same qualification?
Pretty sure they're exactly the same - MSci is the over-arching term for a Masters in a Science subject, in the same way MA is the general term for arts.

Yep, pretty much exactly the same.
However the other option- BSc + MSc (separate masters degree) - generally has a substantially greater dissertation element and so is "better". You need to apply and get funding separately after your undergrad for them though.
There's no difference here between the separate application and the straight one. ^ :dontknow:
