Flat mates only staying for one semester?

Hi guys, this is a bit of a pointless worry but.... I've met a lot of my flat mates on a facebook group and most of them are american students that are only staying for the Autumn term, do you know what universities do with the empty rooms when they leave? It'll be sad and lonely in my flat!!!

if it isn't private and you're talking about halls there usually is a waiting list with all the students who couldn't get accommodation. Either they live too close or applied too late, the rooms will be filled with those students :smile:

I had two Americans in my flat who were there only for the first semester. When they left, two other American students replaced them for the second semster.

They won't leave the rooms empty.
