Very hard C4 paper.

Did anyone get the co-ordinates for E as (-3,11,10) and (9,7,-2)?

Do you know whether this is for all boards i.e OCR?

i checked on my calc it was 7/3ln2

How many marks was the integration by parts?

I got a whole number... they wanted it to 6 decimal places.

I'm afraid you're dreaming. It'll be something around 58 for an A* and shift the rest to fit :/

A* has never been below 57 I swear? Why would they suddenly drop it by 4 marks?

for that vector question, where it said find e, did anybody think/do this.

Okay so they said the area of triangle acd is 3 times the area of ace.

So seeing ac remains the same for both triangles, the only thing that changes is the distance of the base (cd or ce).

I worked out the |cd| to be rt17 then surely |ce| must be 3rt17

then i work out the |ce| in terms of mu and got as far as u^2 = +3 or -3.

Then put the back into the general vector for oe and you get e is either (-3,11,10) or (9,7,-2)?

hey just to let you know I got the same as you for all above and I missed the triangle thing too which was easy to do but I wasn't confident mu=-1 for D so decided to skip it in the interest of time. but otherwise I got the exact same as above Also I think mu=-1 gave 5, -1, 2 or something
