Edexcel C2 Grade Boundaries

Has anyone else noticed the steep grade boundaries from 2010 onwards?
Have a look:
June 2009 - 53/75 for an A
Jan 2010 - 54/75 for an A
June 2010 - 62/75 for an A
Jan 2011 - 65/75 for an A
June 2011 - 62/75 for an A
Jan 2012 - 61/75 for an A
June 2012 - 63/75 for an A
Jan 2013 - 64/75 for an A

Why the huge increase from January 2010 to June 2010? Its 8 marks which is over 10% of the paper!
It's really annoying because I've just done the June 2009 paper and got 59/75, a solid A, but looking at the rest of the grades it would only be a B  It wasn't even a particularly easy paper either, I'd love to see the earlier grade boundaries to confirm that they made it harder to get an A after 2010. (Either that or made the papers easier.)
Anyway, good luck for your exam!
erm it was because of the goverment thinking that A-levels are too easy. Can you remember on the news when it was going on about highering the grade boundaries as too many people were getting A's.

In Jan 2005 it was 62
June 2005 - 60
Jan 2006 - 64
June 2006 - 67
Jan 2007 - 62
June 2007 - 59
Jan 2008 - 62
June 2008 - 63

They really have not made the grade boundaries harder in recent years and the % of students achieving the top grades has not fallen, though there does seem to be an effort to inject a little bit more challenge and variety into some of the papers..
