C3 edexcel Maths help needed

Prove the identity:

Tan(A/2) + Cot(A/2) = 2cosecA

I used the substitution A/2 =x

And I have so far got to 2/sin2x = 2cosecA, manipulating RHS

My mate showed me how to do it, but I didn't copy the solution from him, I know I'm close.

Put the LHS in terms of sin\sin and cos\cos.

I have already done that: (sinX/cosX) + (cosX/sinX)

Then I added them and got 1/cosXsinX

Then times top and bottom by 2 = 2/sin2X

From here I need help, I know I'm close but I'm not getting it

Then you are done. cosec(x)=1sin(x)cosec(x) = \frac{1}{sin(x)}, and 2x=A2x = A.
