M1: What is a Hinge in Moments?

Here is the question:
A uniform straight beam ABCD of length 6m and mass of 20kg, is attached to a fixed hinge at C, where AB=BC=CD.
What does it mean with the hinge part? thanks guys! =)

A hinge is just a hinge - like on a door
It means the pivot, so where it turns from.

See post 3.

Doesn't matter what you call it if it's not on a physics paper. The technical name is pivot but unless a question asks you to name it then it doesn't make a difference what you call it - I can only imagine them asking you this on a physics paper.
