Line of best fit, Biology...

We had our GCSE today, and one question was about TB in different parts of England. We had to plot some points and draw a line of best fit. I drew my points dot to dot, is it meant to be a straight line? On most graphs concerning disease and numbers etc, I always see dot to dots, it is only for enzymes/photosynthesis I see curves. Please help!

Yes, it's supposed to be a straight line. Dot to dot wouldn't be a line of "best fit", that'd be multiple lines just connecting each of the results. Plotting the 'best fit' on a graph will always be a curve of best fit/line of best fit. (More regularly line of best fit in GCSE).
