Hi Mr M
For question 8ii) about the line not touching the circle, i drew both the line and circle and showed they couldnt physically touch each other
For 9iii) i used the negitive reciprical of -8 (1/8) for my gradient

How many marks will i lose?

The line and the circle do touch so this doesn't sound right.

Drop 1 or 2 for the gradient problem.

Hey Mr M thank you for this!

If I stupidly used the quadratic formula for question 5(ii) and didn't simplify, but had my inequality signs right, how many marks would I lose?

Also if for question 10(ii) my entire method was correct, but I got an incorrect answer (probably made a silly mistake when substituting) what's the maximum number of marks I will lose?

5ii) maybe get full marks

10ii) lose 2 at most if the situation is as you say

Hey Mr M, For question 9(II) I got my x and y values correct but I got my constant as 13. How many marks do I lose?

Impossible to say. You will have dropped at least 2 marks but it could be more.

Hi mr m... I know its a bit late to ask this but I think in the 9 marker I got the wrong gradient but after that I did everything right but obviously as I got the gradient wrong I didn't get the right answer... So how many marks would I get?
Hello, I was just wondering where you could get the questions? As I want to practise for my C1 examination in May 2015

Many thanks!!
