The New Cancer Drug from Cambridge: Is Lynparza Worth It?
Hi everyone,
Merry crimbo! Has the effort of University of Cambridge, Cancer Research UK and AstraZeneca over the past few decades and over millions of pounds turned out worthwhile, after getting a new drug approved - lynparza - which targets 10% of ovarian cancers to give about 7 extra months of life?
How about a new emerging therapy - hyperthermia? It involves exposing patients to an alternating magnetic field, which was until recently believed to potentially cause cancer itself.
This is my take:
